This is a 1970s era brown corduroy suit that is made in an old school country and western style. The jacket to this corduroy suit is made with a pointy collar, a four burnished wood button front, ultrasuede shoulder panels, button-down ultra suede belts at the cuffs and an ultrasuede flapped large patch pocket at either bottom side.
It is cut with a longer silhouette and has a 13 centre vent at the bottom back. It is fully lined in a brown, orange and white paisley printed acetate. The pants to this corduroy suit have a flat panel front, a wide band waist and a flared leg. Warren K Cook Custom Tailored Somerset 100% Cotton.
Ive had a number of items made by them in the past, some dating back to the 1930s. ACWA (Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America) label used between 1962 and 1976. Sizing: Size 44 is indicated on this corduroy suit, but I think that it is more like a size 42 - please rely on the following measurements. Shoulders: 18 1/2 across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam.
Sleeves: 25 from the shoulder/sleeve seam. 47 around, taken under the arms. Condition: This corduroy suit is in very good condition with no stains, odors, pronounced wear or tears - this suit looks to have seen little use and has been well cared for over the years.
