Vintage 50's-60's WORMSER Western WHIPPET Style TEXAS Fedora Hat LARGE 7 1/4 Buy
This is a rare beautiful vintage 50's-60's classic Wormser fedora.. Very cool hat and very good original pre-owned vintage condition! Reminiscent of the western style and Whippet hats of the era-with bound 2 +1/4 inch brim and teardrop style crown..
This vintage Wormser is well preserved-rare and appealing.... I see 2 small nips near the ribbon base-(one pictured) and some divits on the brim underside. But still presents very nicely!Color is tan with greyish tint in certain light... Rare fedora; and a good investment; These older fedoras have been increasing in value! The leather sweatband is wide at about 1+ 3/4 inches.... Sweatband has some separated stitching in the seam near the inner ribbon...
And some slight edge wear... Outer Ribbon is about 1 + 3/4 inches... This hat has sat in storage unused for a lot of years! We brushed and cleaned it some and it looks very nice! The felt on this hat is well preserved and soft!
Very nice genuine Wormser brand USA... Style this hat is nice and soft.. Crown is about 5 inches formed... Brim is a very nice bound edge that is about 2 1/4 inches wide..There are no major flaws to talk about; see pics.. The felt is very soft; typical of vintage fedoras from this era..... Everything is very good;t; lining-sweatband-upper and lower.... Very nice precision stitching-and detail........
Brim has a slight western curl. Inside dimensions are about 7 +7/8 inches by about 6 + 1/2 inches... I generally wear 7 1/4- and it fits very nicely..
Pre owned hat-but still in near mint. Lots of useful life is left!!
