Steele Cattle Ranch photograph c1895 showing R. Perry of Meade Kansas seated on a hill overlooking his round-up herd of 200 cattle watering in the Cimarron River with cowboys on horseback visible. Large size photograph Measures 8" x 10" inches. Steele was an important Kansas and Oklahoma panhandle photographer who started in 1890 capturing pictures of cowboys and cattle ranches.

This image must have been a favorite of Steele's as you can see he made prints of this photograph despite the chipped losses to the glass plate which can be seen at the lower center of the image.
