This rare tool was made to cut down bull horns. This piece is an original and not a reproduction, making it a unique addition to any collection. The theme of the item is agriculture, specifically related to cattle farming with the use of bull horn clippers.
The item was manufactured in the United States and is considered a collectible in the "Advertising" and "Other Agricultural Ads" categories. This is a very large and heavy cutter (that still is functional), made out of cast iron, the handles are wood. This tool measure 53 inches tall and the hard wood handles have lots of life on them, however the handles do show signs of wood separation in some areas, not sure if that is how it was when made or if that happened after the fact so please view all pictures. One of the screws holding one handle in place has been switched (also pictured).
Both wood handles are thick and measure 6 round. The diameter of this tool is 10.5. This would make for a really great conversation piece. Perfect to display on a farm; ranch; cabin; restaurant or butcher shop.
