Large Geologic Map of the Middle and Western States, James Hall 1843

22.5" x 32 " First geologic map to use stratigraphic nomenclature called the NY system. The nomenclature used was developed by the NY geological survey members and James Hall and led to this map being considered a landmark map in geological mapmaking. This map has some age toning and a small seam cross section maybe 1/8 of an separation easily fixed with archival tape.
