This is an Antique Original Landscape Oil Painting on Canvas COWGIRL Roping A Bull Framed 17x16. This Rare and antique oil painting features a terrific capture of a COWGIRL roping a bull.

The painting is antique as noted from the aged wooden stretcher possibly dating to the early 1900s or prior?? The cowgirl is seen successfully roping the bull by the horns with the bull fully on the ground. The cowgirl is hailing her skill by waving her large hat in the air and glazing upward. She holds the length of rope in her left hand at shoulder level. Her hair is in a long braid.

She is wearing silver spurs, long brown leather boots, brown riding trousers, a blue shirt with collar and a red tie at the neck. Her right foot is pressed upon the bull head. The painting utilizes the artist's bold use of color. The painting setting is desert type soil, a few desert flowering plants, and some mountains far away in the distance. The day is sunny with deep blue sky and white puffy clouds.

The painting is unsigned/undated and the talented artist is an unidentified mystery. The medium is oil on stretched artist canvas. There is a note on the frame back that the painting was reframed 4.28.1988. The condition is very good for age. What looks like some missing paint along the left side is actually brown paint and is not damage.

There is some faint craquelure in the blue sky area. There is a small dimple in the upper right quadrant near the frame. There is some aging to the paint.
