Cattle were raised on the open range and the brands were used to show who's cattle were whose and to help prevent cattle rustling. One can imagine this being used on a windswept, dusty range by a hardworking, weathered cowboy as he and other cowboys round up a herd of cattle. It could be a M, W, or the number 3. This piece of authentic western history can bring the wild west into any rustic setting whether it is a barn, a bar, a man cave, an office, or a country family room!
