Traveling Map of the Western States, Exhibiting the Counties, Towns and Villages, the Railways, Rivers, Canals, and Lakes and Towns and Stations of them. Published in Cincinnati by Edward Mendenhall. 25" x 32" foldout map in 5.5" x 3.75" cloth boards. Map torn in various places along both horizontal and vertical folds.

Hole on edge of map from where previously attached to cover. Light scuffing to boards, with losses along edges of Mendenhall advertisement on interior of front board.

General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. An extremely scarce map of the Midwest and upper South by Cincinnati printer Edward Mendenhall Includes visuals of early development of many Midwestern counties, including Nebraska, where much of the state had not been organized.
